Welcome To The U.S. Poker League

PokerBowl II tentatively scheduled for May 2008

     The Inaugural PokerBowl was a big success and the unique team format was a hit with players. Team Cincinnati emerged victorious after Vincent Napolitano outlasted the final table to take down the $600,000 first place prize for his team.
     The U.S. Poker League has announced tentative plans to schedule PokerBowl II for May 2008. More details will be announced soon.

Cincinnati Wins Inaugural PokerBowl!
     Team Cincinnati won the US PokerBowl on Tuesday after Vincent Napolitano outlasted the final table to take down the $600,000 first place prize.
     The Cincinnati Full House - represented by Napolitano, Steve Zoine, Steve Dannenmann, Steve Kingsley, Chris Manzo and Ari Goldstein - will share the $600,000 and the title of US PokerBowl Champion.
Kenna James leads Detroit to East Title
     Despite being the only Detroit player to advance to the Eastern Conference final table, Kenna James stole the show, outlasting 3 Philadelphia players as well as Boston duo Greg Raymer and Steve 'Dakota' Happas to win the East crown for his powerhouse team.
     With the victory, Detroit now advances to the PokerBowl finale with all 6 of their talented players. Rejoining Kenna at the tables are Scotty Nguyen, Mark Seif, Nick Brancato, Rick Fuller and Kathy Liebert.
Adam Gerber holds on to win West for St. Louis
     In what arguably was the toughest conference in the U.S. Poker League, St. Louis' Adam Gerber played a solid tournament from beginning to end, earning his team $100,000 and a place in the PokerBowl finale.
     As chip leader for most the tournament, Adam ended up on top of a great 3-way battle with Denver's Doyle Brunson and Tennessee's Nenad Medic. The final hand saw Adam's Queens hold up against Medic's 8's.
Cincinnati dominates South Conference
     The Cincinnati Full House, led by Steve Dannenmann, dominated the Southern Conference beginning to end, sending 3 players to the final table, all of which lasted to the last hand.
     Atlanta put a good fight before Paul Wolfe ran into Cincy's bullets on the tourney's final hand.
Newly formed Hollywood wins California Conference
     A last minute scratch of JC Tran's Orange County team, prompted an early morning scramble to field a final California team. However, the six players that filled the opening, found team chemistry quickly, going on to win the California Conference behind the play of Phil Eldman.
     As the only Hollywood player to make the final table, Phil grinded out a victory against L.A.'s Theo Tran and San Diego's Jordan Morgan.
New Jersey Wins Northern Conference
    Eric Lynch and Shannon Pendergrast led the way for New Jersey as they captured the first Northern Conference Championship, earning the team $100,000 in winnings.
    Chicago's Shannon Shorr was the last player standing in the way and his 8-3 of clubs fell to Pendergrasts K-3, clinching the victory for the XFactors.
